Criteria for the Randy Walker “Doing Great” Award
This special award is given on behalf of the Randy Walker Legacy Foundation and the Randy Walker family to an Illinois high school football coach that has demonstrated the following qualities and characteristics throughout his career:
A winning tradition… winning is not defined solely by wins on the football field, but in life as a positive influence and a coach in the classroom.
“I believe we must teach every young person to lead a goal-oriented life.” Randy Walker
Serves as a role model, a mentor and an encouraging source for the student-athlete to recognize the importance of academic achievement, as well as athletic development. Teaches by example the importance of effort, attitude, discipline, as well as persistence and dedication.

Gives back to the community and his profession as a leader off the field.

This award is given annually by the Randy Walker Legacy Foundation and the Randy Walker family at the Randy Walker Legacy Foundation Golf Outing.
